At Alfredton Dental, we believe every patient deserves access to high-quality dental care regardless of their financial circumstances. That is why we offer Medicare bulk billing for eligible patients.
We bulk bill eligible children aged 2–17 under the Medicare Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS), which provides up to $1,095 in dental benefits over two consecutive calendar years. We also bulk bill eligible veterans under the Department of Veterans' Affairs (DVA) scheme.

01How do I know if my child is eligible for CDBS?
Children aged 2–17 who receive Family Tax Benefit Part A or certain other government payments are generally eligible. We can check eligibility at your first appointment — just bring your Medicare card.
02What services are covered under the CDBS?
The scheme covers a broad range of dental services including examinations, X-rays, cleans, fillings, extractions, and fissure sealants. It does not cover orthodontic or cosmetic-only treatments.
03Is there a limit to how much the CDBS covers?
Yes — eligible children receive up to $1,095 in benefits over two consecutive calendar years. Any costs above this limit are charged to the patient.
04Do you see DVA card holders?
Yes. We accept Gold and White DVA cards. Please bring your card to your first appointment and we will arrange direct billing to the Department of Veterans' Affairs.
05What if I can't afford treatment that isn't bulk-billed?
We offer AfterPay and Zip Pay for treatments not covered by bulk billing, and we will always work with you to prioritise care and find a payment arrangement that works.
